Techniques for Painting Wood Cabinets

Painting wood cabinets – Painting an old beat-up closet is a cheap way to improve the look of your kitchen and add value to your home. Creating painting is not difficult. But the preparation and painting procedure is much more time-consuming than a typical mural job. Achieving a quality paint finish on a closet requires a few simple techniques.

Brush and roll; painting wood cabinets with a traditional brush-and-roll method can help you achieve a look similar to a spray end if using the right techniques. Unscrew any hardware and remove the doors. Use a 1-inch brush to fill in the narrow corners of the filler door closets. Roll paint on the closet using a 3-inch foam roll. A foam roll does not leave the paint uneven and looks like a sprayed finish. Use a synthetic roller to the inside of the cabinet and a foam roll for the outside of the doors.

Paint sprayer; painting wood cabinets with a paint spray leave a flawless finish without brush and roll marks. But indoor spraying requires extensive masking to protect your home from air spray dust. Remove closets and create a work area in the backyard, using dust sheets to protect the grass from spray dust. Lean locks against a staircase or bucket. Spray one side of the door. Allow the paint to dry. Grasp the two upper corners of the closet with your fingers and rotate the door to spray the other side.
